Brussels / Venice - 28 September 2022

Radisson Collection - Radisson Hotel Group’s luxury lifestyle collection of iconic properties - is proud to announce their third brand ambassador as part of their global Art Series program. This week sees the launch of surrealist photographer Minh T’s exhibition with the exceptional backdrop of Radisson Collection Hotel, Palazzo Nani Venice during the city’s key artistic moment of the year: La Biennale.

Connecting guests to art and design is a signature part of the Radisson Collection brand experience. Each of the global art collaborations, sees Radisson Collection partner with a different emerging artist to create immersive artwork highlighting the iconic locations of the brand.  Radisson Collection’s newest partner is surrealist photographer Minh T, known under the pseudonym @thismintymoment, who begins this collaboration by illustrating his artistic view of Venice’s authentic Cannaregio neighborhood around the Radisson Collection Hotel, Palazzo Nani Venice. Minh has created his first series of artworks inspired by Radisson Collection Hotel, Palazzo Nani Venice, its historical neighborhood surroundings and the 59th international art exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia.

Minh T sees the world differently to most people: inspired by architecture, nature and geometry, his art is provoking and romantic, as if each image is part of a prevailing fairytale. With a background in graphic design and architecture, Minh’s work eschews an overly technical approach and instead runs with feeling, fantasy, and emotion. Through Instagram he has enchanted audiences from across the globe, including notable publications, fashion houses and fellow photographers, translating his social media profile from a casual hobby to an internationally acclaimed aesthetic. For the Radisson Collection exhibition, he has directed his passion and creativity towards creating photography that showcases the unique architecture and design of the Radisson Collection Hotel, Palazzo Nani Venice, and the surrounding area of Cannaregio. The 8 photographs curated for Venice will be on display at the Radisson Collection Hotel, Palazzo Nani Venice for the next six months.
Radisson Collection Hotel, Palazzo Nani Venice is situated in a historic building on the Cannaregio Canal, with furnishings and architecture representative of an ancient Venetian family. Built in the 16th century, the hotel was the residence of the Nani family, who were engaged in the political, social, and cultural life of the city’s rich past. Opened in October 2021, the property has been acclaimed as an exceptional jewel of Venetian architecture in the northern part of the city, close to the Venetian Ghetto. Guests at the Radisson Collection Hotel, Palazzo Nani Venice will be able to glimpse further into Minh T’s unique perspective and artistic process by following a photo walking route he created during his residency at the hotel, also available on the Radisson Collection Instagram channel as a complimentary guide. His work finds beauty in the simple details of our surroundings, such as geometric shapes in architecture or the game of light and shadow on a building façade. The walking route takes guests on a curated tour of the historical Cannaregio neighborhood surrounding the hotel – offering a true glimpse into the authentic side of the city. The hotel is the ideal location from which to explore and embrace the local way of life and the peaceful Venetian atmosphere whilst also being in the perfect spot to visit the islands of Murano and Burano, and the historical center.

Guests of the Radisson Collection Hotel, Palazzo Nani Venice will have the opportunity to take in Minh‘s art exhibition within the rooms and suites of the hotel in addition to enjoying the array of nearby local experiences provided by his curated guide. Directly in front of the hotel – whose location offers the ideal base to unlock this city filled with art - guests can also enjoy the exhibition of internationally renowned artist Anish Kapoor at Palazzo Manfrin, which will then become the permanent seat of the artist in a city with a profound artistic tradition. From the canal front location, guests can experience Venice through the 5 senses and off the beaten path through its history, art, craftsmanship and gastronomy. Among the activities recommended by the hotel are a visit to La Fenice opera house and a tasting tour of traditional cicchetti (Venetian style tapas) at local restaurants in the Cannaregio area – the best place in the city to experience the local bacari, hopping from one to another along the canals enjoying typical small Venetian bites and a glass of wine of prosecco. Other nearby experiences include a unique fragrance workshop at The Merchant of Venice, a historic olfactory art brand in Venice, and visits to local artisans such as Rubelli, a renowned historical Venetian textile brand whose fabrics are present throughout the hotel.

Radisson Collection Hotel, Palazzo Nani Venice is the fourth Italian property of the Radisson Collection brand with the careful design renovation led by Studio Marco Piva. The property features 52 beautifully designed guest rooms and suites, many with restored ceiling frescoes and direct canal views. The hotel’s interior captivates with a formal balance of decorative effects that leave the viewer free to enjoy the spaces and gather endless inspiration from the lagoon city. Radisson Collection Hotel, Palazzo Nani Venice is a luxury hotel that gives a new cultural value to the building, combining artistic heritage with significant aesthetic research. Here, the best design combines with the social and emotional value of the work, increasing its prestige. The artistic and historical value of the Palazzo has been preserved throughout the conversion, maintaining and emphasizing the original floors, structures, and frescoes highlighted by the light. The hotel offers an array of modern facilities, including private meeting rooms as well as two unique spaces which boast typical Venetian style with frescos and exposed beams, perfect for private or social events. The hotel can even be rented out in full for events such as weddings as a truly exceptional space, complete with a beautiful, quiet interior garden.

Radisson Collection has a strong heritage of connecting with art and design dating back to the SAS Royal Hotel in Hammerichsgade, designed by Arne Jacobsen, one of the greatest Danish architects of the twentieth century which later became the Radisson Collection Royal Hotel, Copenhagen, as it is known today. Today, art and design are recurring signature elements in Radisson Collection hotels, which feature art from both local and internationally celebrated artists. Radisson Collection will continue to follow Minh T’s journey across the brand portfolio and will soon announce the next artists to form part of the brand’s global Art Series into 2023 as the brand art partners continue to take guests on a unique journey across Radisson Collection destinations through the diverse mediums of art.
