We chose this hotel based on the reviews and we weren't disappointed. The hotel is around the corner from the subway station, which makes it an easy commute from the airport. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance, and we easily walked to Tiananmen Square. There is a Starbucks, McDonald's and convenience store outside if you need those. The staff are very friendly and really try to help you. The rooms are comfortable and a good size. One helped us with our Universal Studios booking. I would say that I wish the staff were more knowledgeable, and maybe it was just one of the receptionists. I wanted advice on how to get to Tiananmen Square for the flag lowering ceremony, and I had read online that it was tricky. The receptionist really didn't know and he just told me that all entrances were available (which is actually not true at all, many are blocked off). Given a lot of international foreigners stay at this hotel, and this is a main tourist attraction that is close by, I would expect him to know how to guide me, so that was a bit disappointing. But overall, I would recommend this hotel. Good value for the price.
We stayed for 6 nights at this hotel. Hotel is clean and well equipped including a self service laundry room which came very useful during our stay. The staff is friendly and very helpful, from front desk, concierge and housekeeping. They are efficient and customer oriented. Hotel serves a pretty good buffet breakfast at very affordable price if you book with the room. Food quality is good. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much. Family friendly and convenient location with a 24hr convenient store just across the hotel and many shopping and food options close by.
This hotel was in a convenient location, close to walk to shops and restaurants. The room was clean and had all we needed. Had good lighting in the room too. There was enough space to move around the room and have open cases on the floor. Breakfast was good and covered western food options as well as Chinese.
I am writing this review before I leave the hotel so I don't forget to do so. I can not say enough for the staff. I reached out early to Cristal Zhai through wechat and she answered every question and helped me book my stay. I requested a non smoking room as I am very sensitive to smoke. She listened and answered all my questions and even when she was off duty. Upon arrival I was delighted to know that my room was very quiet, smoke free as I requested. Noteworthy also is the concierge, Mr Wang and Eric who have been excellent. I ordered a lot of deliveries and they kept everything for me and kept a log. They also put my Meituan in the robot to my room in a very timely fashion. They even helped me with a chinese app. I am moving to another hotel in Beijing with regret in a few days. They are not helpful as I asked several questions before my arrival. But the staff here at Park Plaza goes above and beyond to help. I will surely stay here again. The location is just next to the MTR although we walked to most places as the location is in Wangfujing and close to many attractions like Forbidden City and Hutongs.
We opted to purchase a room upgrade at check-in and it was great value. We had a lovely suite overlooking the city on an upper floor. It was very clean and comfortable. Good breakfast, very convenient washing machines and dryers. The location of the hotel in Wangfujing is perfect for tourists.
